Having meticulously studied the history and the prehistory of human thought and creative expression I do not worry that I am not in the current of whatever it is that is meant by the word contemporary.

With my ear to the ground I dance to the beat of a different drummer and I sacrifice everything in the struggle to work. Within the context of today's cultural zeitgeist it is next to impossible. The struggle and the work are their own reward. What else to do ?

  • 1942: born in San Francisco. He learned to paint with his mother painter,
  • 1966-1970: he is interested in music during the sixties and paints abstract oils,
  • 1970-1994: he becomes a photographer — landscapes, black and white photography and continues to paint,
  • 1994 —: he moves to France in the town of Besançon and there he begins to focus his art exclusively on painting.
