oil on canvas, 46cm x 38cm,
a beach in Normandie, near Cabourg,
by a fall morning, after a storm.
painted in december 2006,
sketched in october 2006.
A somewhat abstract rendition of the aftermath of a storm. This painting comes from the extraordinary light that you get after a storm. I have lived during a long time with a view of the pacific ocean and I have seen many storms. But I never saw something like that. This special light makes the Normandy coast a paradise for painters and poets.
